Leadership Assessment, Development and Coaching

United Nations (UNIDO) – Conducted leadership workshops for an international group of key leaders, interpreting assessments and assisting in development planning.

Johnson & Johnson (Ortho Diagnostics) – Assisted business unit leader with developing his team’s talented individuals. Provided assessment, feedback and coaching to three key leaders, several of whom were from Europe and the Far East, helping them to better integrate into the corporate U.S. culture.

AT&T – Designed and facilitated customized 2-day career and management development process for senior executives. Modules included career goal setting and strategy implementation, as well as 360-degree feedback regarding leadership behaviors.

Department of Energy – Consulted with two directors at the National Energy Technical Laboratory (Pittsburgh Energy Technology Center) and top management team, providing leadership development and coaching. Also, assisted team in strategic planning as business focus changed and in team conflict resolution.

Berlex Labs – Helped executives, both German and American, acquire leadership skills in German-owned, American pharmaceutical business. Coaching experience targeted development of competencies with a particular emphasis on working in this multi-cultural environment.

Role Competency Profiling

K. Hovnanian – Led organization in the construction industry to develop a management development system. Helped organizational development staff identify competencies for different levels in the company; trained them in assessing high potential individuals (using Lominger’s Voices 360-degree feedback tools) and in developing them. This program was integrated into all human resources systems and has won national industry awards.

Organizational Capability Profiling

Pfizer Animal Health – Helped livestock marketing and sales team, newly formed following a corporate merger, assess their organizational needs and develop new business strategy. Translated team’s competency needs into individual competency needs; consulted members regarding 360-degree assessment and development.

Cinergy – Participated in facilitating major change management initiative. Trained HR managers in use of leadership development tools from Human Synergistics, as well as provided assessment and coaching to executives.

Clemson University – Trained and certified graduate students in leadership competency assessment and development tools, using Lominger’s Career Architect system.

Columbia University Graduate – Utilized career-related assessments and feedback to map out future career path. Individual learned how to take internship experience at ABC news and transfer these skills to a desired career in the environmental non-profit sector.

Selection Assessments and Reports

Vienna International School (UNIDO) - Provided competency-based selection assessment process for choosing chief administrative officer. Assessed and interviewed top three candidates and gave written and oral presentation to Board of Directors and candidates.

Johnson & Johnson (Ortho Diagnostics) – Counseled divisional CEO in the selection of key executives and provided them with development feedback and consultation after promotions.

Long-term Leadership Consultation

Burns & Roe – During five year period, provided leadership coaching to Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of the Board. Developed executive team, facilitated leadership transition between family generations and served as CEO kitchen cabinet advisor.

Department of Energy (NETL) – For four years, served as personal consultant to Director and founder, as well as to top management team at the Pittsburgh Energy Technology Center. Provided coaching for all top managers and key performers in the organization. Developed and facilitated team development for senior staff and strategic planning for organization during realignment period in the 1990’s.
